Summer Exhibition Open Call
We invite you to apply to participate in our latest Photographic Summer Exhibition, held in collaboration with Hastings Arts Forum.
Theme: Living Light
As photographers, we live with light, and everything we capture is illuminated by light. Our challenge as photographers is to create images that convey and expand this wonder.
This is an invitation for photographers to submit up to four images (per application) centred around the theme of ‘Living Light’ for an exhibition to be held at Hastings Arts Forum 23rd July – 4th August 2024.
Submission is free, and open to everyone.
Please note: if your work is selected, there will be a participation fee. Costs vary depending on size of hanging space requested. You may apply for multiple hanging spaces. More details of costs can be found on the application form.
We are also offering 2 bursary places (free of charge) to applicants under 25 years old.

Deadline for submissions
11.59pm Sunday, 28th April
Once the deadline has passed, photographers who have been selected will be contacted and asked to pay the participation fee.
All money goes in its entirety to cover costs associated with venue hire, private view, print and digital material, marketing and promotion.
The gallery will accommodate frameless images, however stresses that the photograph(s) must lie flat or have some method of keeping it flat. To keep them flat, batons on top and bottom are recommended. For all work (frame or frameless), 2 x 15mm D Rings (no string or wire) must be fitted. Full hanging instructions will be available later.

Submit up to 4 images (per application) by completing the form using the link above.
- Name your images firstname-surname1, firstname-surname2, etc.
- Make sure your images are JPG files and 2000 pixels on their longest side.
- Image/s must not have been previously exhibited, published or uploaded to social media.
